Star Wars Complete Cross-Sections Mini-Review

Those nice people at Dorling Kindersley (DK) have asked us for our opinion on ‘Star Wars Complete Cross-Sections’.

I’ve loved the previous Star Wars cross-sections books brought out by DK and have a couple in my collection.  This book though, combines the four previously released books into one complete volume as well as adding some other new entries too – including new cross-sections for the TIE Bomber, TIE Advanced, A-Wing Fighter, B-Wing Fighter and the Imperial Shuttle.  There’s also a forward by the artists/writers, Hans Jenssen and Richard Chasemore, talking about how much fun they had creating these books.

The book contains detailed information, intricately drawn images and cut-away art of each vehicle, allowing the reader to see both the inside and outside, giving fans a unique viewpoint as they don’t really get the chance to see so much detail in the films.  In fact most of the vehicles are given a two page spread.

Information on each vehicle includes its design and manufacture, wingspan, speed, crew capacity, armament, dimensions, ship or vehicle type as well as any other special features.

All in all this is a great book for all Star Wars fans and the detail and effort that’s gone into this volume is inspirational giving the reader a great insight into the world of Star Wars and its vehicles as well as being one of the best references available too.  This great book would make an ideal Xmas present and is available now from all good book stores and priced between £17 – £25 its great value too.
