Continuing on with our cast profiles, here’s John Boyega
Twenty two year old John Boyega is perhaps best known for playing the role of Moses in the Sci-Fi thriller Attack the Block.
Born in Peckham, South London, Boyega has been acting since the age of 5. Trained at the Identity Drama School in Hackney London – to date most of Boyega’s work has been in the theatre, most notably Six Parties and Category B.
Limited TV work has included most notably Law & Order: UK, but in recent years he has began to carve a career in the movies.
He played a drug dealer in Junkhearts, and the role of Ugwa in Half of a Yellow Sun – the adaptation of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s book. 2014 sees him appear in three new films The Whale, Imperial Dreams, and Caesar.
But now his biggest break to date comes as he is part of Star Wars Episode VII.
