Due to the early release of the new Star Wars Rebels premiere, Spark of Rebellion, the much anticipated Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Legacy didn’t get as much attention as it deserved. So, as a responsible fan who was first fascinated by not the films, but The Clone Wars, thought I would give it a reboot and explain what it is.
Overall, the Legacy section covers the untold stories of The Clone Wars in three main forms. Those forms are: Comic form, book form and animation. This mini section is definitely more appealing to CW fans that have a deep passion for it and want to learn more. The first story was Darth Maul: Son of Dathomir. This was a story line that was placed into comic form to create a 4 part mini- series exploring the last adventures of Darth Maul and the reason for his resurrection. This series has already been released as one of Dark Horses last publications and is available on Dark Horse Digital.

The second story is created with unique and original characters including Asajj Ventress and Quinlan Vos. The book is due for release in 2015 by publishers Del Rey and is currently titled Dark Discipline. To accompany this legacy story several concept images of the characters and settings have been released showing the usual Ventress in a very different manor. The blurb is as follows:
When the Jedi decide to target Count Dooku—Darth Tyranus— himself, they turn to his ex-apprentice, Asajj Ventress, for help in getting close to the slippery Sith Lord. But when unexpected sparks fly between Ventress and Quinlan Vos, the unorthodox Jedi sent to work with her, the mission becomes a web of betrayal, alliances, secrets, and dark plotting that might just be the undoing of both Jedi and Sith—and everything in between!
The final legacy story line follows Obi-Wan and Anakin on a journey to Utapau. This adventure, named ‘Crystal Crises on Utapau’ brings viewers a 4 part (each 22 minutes) mini-series of an un-rendered Clone Wars story. While the two Jedi investigate the death of a fellow Jedi Master they also uncover a secret separatist arms deal. On top of all this Obi-wan also tries to teach Anakin to let go of Ashoka and forget the past. In order the episodes are as follows: A Death on Utapau, In Search of the Crystal, Crystal Crises and the Big Bang. Maybe not the most creative titles but a deep storyline accompanied by a good look into the steps that made the epic sub- phenomenon, Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
