Looking for the ultimate gift for the Star Wars fan in your life? From Lucasfilm and Epic Ink comes the groundbreaking new book Star Wars: The Blueprints – Inside the Productions Archives, a collection of more than 250 of the original technical drawings for all six films.
Hidden inside the storied Lucasfilm Archives for nearly 35 years, the drawings, or blueprints, provide a new view of the Star Wars Saga and highlight the artistry of the production art departments that helped create this enduring world. The extra-large format and deluxe printing showcase the grand scale of the original blueprints, enabling readers to examine fully every detail.
From the very first technical drawing, a design for the moisture vaporator prototype, to the plan and elevations of the Alderaanian diplomatic cruiser, the cockpit for which was the last set built for the Star Wars saga, the reader is provided with some indication as to the degree of precision that was taken to detail even the most mundane aspects of the galaxy, far, far away.
