I have diligently avoided most things Star Wars for weeks now, months even. I’ve viewed nothing beyond the first full-length trailer (several thousand times, but still…) and stopped clicking on any link that leads to the Dark Side. Or Light Side, for that matter. As I type, a commercial for the latest installment of our beloved saga just popped onto the TV screen in the other room, and I literally put my fingers in my ears and shouted, “LA LA LA LA LA LA LA…” until it was over. Immature, but effective.
