San Diego Comic-Con was a blast! During the event, we spoke with an incredible lineup of composers about the music of AHSOKA S1 & S2, the upcoming VISIONQUEST, SUPERGIRL, BRIDGERTON, and SPIDER-NOIR. Our guests include Kevin, Sean, and Deana Kiner, who discuss Thrawn’s theme, Ahsoka’s theme, and offer a few AHSOKA Season 2 nuggets.
Then we attended the 12th Annual Musical Anatomy of a Superhero panel, moderated by Michael Giacchino, and were able to speak with all four of the following composers in a press roundtable after the panel. Mick Giacchino previews the “playful, quirky, and wacky” score for Marvel’s upcoming Disney+ series VISIONQUEST. Claudia Sarne takes us behind the music and drama of SUPERGIRL. Then Kris Bowers and Michael Dean Parsons discuss two vastly different scores: BRIDGERTON and SPIDER-NOIR. Did they score Spider-Noir in black and white? Let’s find out!
