Marvel’s Star Wars by Kieron Gillen, Salvador Larroca, Guru-eFX, and Clayton Cowles, has put the Rebellion in a grim position after they’ve been betrayed by an ally that once helped them secure a fleet of Mon Calamari ships. Meanwhile, Darth Vader is busy testing his powerful flagship, the Executor, by blowing up a surprised Rebel fleet.
In issue #54 of the comic, Leia leads troops aboard the Executor leaving General Draven to stay with the ship and the remainder of the troops. Recreating the opening of A New Hope, Vader makes his way aboard the starship and kills Draven and others in his way.
