He may be a little biased, but Chewbacca actor Joonas Suotamo has come out in defence of Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
Suotamo, who played Chewbacca in all three of the sequel trilogy films, took to Twitter last weekend to speak about his experience filming both Episode 8 and 9. And, unsurprisingly, he said he thoroughly enjoyed working on both.
The actor jumped to the defence of both films as The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker started trending on Twitter, with fans debating which one is better.
I woke up to see that #TheLastJedi and #TheRiseOfSkywalker are both trending.
Debating movies is a healthy and natural part of filmmaking, but I loved working on both of these films and collaborating with everyone involved.
I might be biased though. Rawrrgh! pic.twitter.com/hdVmLRLpS8

Alongside two images of himself in full Chewbacca costume with directors Rian Johnson and JJ Abrams, the actor wrote: “I woke up to see that #TheLastJedi and #TheRiseOfSkywalker are both trending.
Keep debating these films, but please ensure it is done in a friendly and constructive way!
