Alden Ehrenreich Would Return to Play Han Solo With the Right Idea

It was only last week that Alden Ehrenreich said he had moved on from the role of Han Solo, but today in an exclusive interview with Digital Spy (ahead of the launch of Brave New World) the actor said he would be willing to return to the role with the right idea.

Earlier this month Alden Ehrenreich spoke about the box office figures that indicated that Solo: A Star Wars Story was a flop, and now in another interview he admits he has moved on from the role of nefarious smuggler.

Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy ahead of the launch of Brave New World, Alden is keen to return to the role, if the idea is right:

“Yeah, possibly, I think there’s been a lot of different iterations that you kind of hear rumours about. I haven’t heard anything real yet, and I don’t know that there ever will be anything. But yeah, depending on what it is, for sure.

“Who Han is at the end of the movie I’m in, is kind of the character, it’s kind of him becoming that, so it’d be fun to do him, as him, y’know.”

However, Alden was slightly less candid when it came to the end of the Skywalker Saga, after he explained he hadn’t watched the divisive Rise of Skywalker finale. When asked if he’d seen it yet, he said: “I didn’t. I’d like to, but I didn’t.”

Here’s hoping that Ehrenreich can be lured back for a Disney+ series on Lando, and/or for the continuation of the Solo story. The Mandalorian, the first Star Wars Disney+ series, returns for its second season on October 30th exclusively on Disney+. You can subscribe to Disney+ here.
