Actor Diego Luna was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel LIVE last night during which he joined the show (virtually of course) from a location in London. Luna revealed during his segment that he has begun filming for the upcoming Cassian Andor spy series that will be distributed exclusively via the Disney+ streaming service. Luna said the Disney+ prequel series (it takes place prior to the on-screen events of 2016’s Star Wars: Rogue One) will help expand viewer’s understanding of director Gareth Edwards’ standalone film and increase their knowledge of his titular character, one that I personally cannot wait to learn more about.

The currently-untitled Cassian Andor series is expected to debut on Disney+ sometime in 2021.
