
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny has passed $300 million at the box office worldwide, thanks to a better than expected performance outside of the USA.
It’s taken 17 days to reach this milestone and it will be interesting to see what it achieves over the next week to determine its trajectory towards $350 and $400 million.
Reviews were unkind coming out of its premiere at Cannes, and we’re sure this had a negative effect on advanced bookings, coupled with the lasting reminder of 2008’s Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, has made people think twice about seeing the film.
It’s a great family adventure film and it’s a real shame it has not been marketed that way. Everyone we’ve spoken to has enjoyed Dial of Destiny and we’re off to see it for a third time this weekend.
