Gus Lopez, Star Wars Celebration Collecting Track Lead and Super Collector, has announced that submissions for the Collecting Track at Star Wars Celebration LA 2027, taking place between April 1st and 4th, are now open through Sunday, October 25th, 2026 at 11:59 PM PT. The Star Wars Celebration Collecting Track is a completely fan-run event. All of the panelists and presenters for the collecting program are fans like you from the Star Wars collecting community. Panels consist of 40-45 minute discussion topics or presentations covering an area or aspect of Star Wars collecting. We are especially interested in panel proposals covering 50 years of Star Wars collecting.
Instructions and guidelines:
1. Go to the Fan Panel application form on the Star Wars Celebration site here
2. Be sure to select “Yes” on the field that asks “Are you submitting as part of the Collector’s Track?”
3. While there are no hard rules for accepted panel format, past experience suggests that slide presentations with more than 2-3 presenters are unwieldy and less likely to be well received by the audience. Discussion panels with more panelists (up to 5) debating a topic with minimal slides, along with an independent moderator can also be very successful.
4. Topics that are self-promoting are categorically rejected. e.g. where the topic is exclusively about a book, podcast, customized toys, etc. created by the presenter. Authors, podcasters, and creators are welcome to submit panel applications covering a collecting topic that mentions their work, just that their work cannot be the central topic of the panel.
All accepted panelists receive complimentary admission. Panelists do not get to choose the time or day they present, but date preferences will be considered if submitted with the application (not after). Free giveaways from panelists need to be cleared by the Star Wars Celebration team before printing or distribution.
All applications will be notified of final decisions by late December 2026.
