It is that time of year when two of my all time favorite things collide into one massive experience. There is only one place where you get Mickey Mouse donning his Jedi robes and Boba Fett patrolling the streets of Hollywood. There is only one place where you can meet and greet some of your favorite Stars of Star Wars and then watch them perform live in front of you on stage. There is only one place where you can take a trip to the Twilight Zone and take a ride to the planets of the galaxy far far away, and that place is Disney’s Hollywood Studios during Star Wars Weekends.
Many people hear I am going to all five weekends but what they don’t understand is that I am very lucky to be an Annual Passholder and a Disney Vacation Club member (Disney Timeshare). These two things make visiting Disney very affordable for my little family so going to the parks is not as expensive as it may sound to some.
There is so much to do at Star Wars Weekends and I am excited to be getting to experience a lot of unique experiences this year. So each week I will post a short write up of what I am looking forward to as well as a review of each weekend:
- Getting to spend time with my friends, some of my friends I only see during Star Wars Weekends so I am very much looking forward to this.
- Meeting Ahmed Best and adding his autograph to my Star Wars Weekends autograph book
- Meeting Vanessa Marshall and adding her autograph to my book
- Helping Ashley Eckstein at the Her Universe booth at Darth’s Mall
- Going to the Jedi Mickey character dinner
- Using Fastpass+ for the shows and seeing how that works
- Seeing Vanessa Marshall and Ashley Eckstein on the same stage
- Seeing all the shows at least once
- The parade!
- Riding Star Tours with tons of Star Wars fans
- last but not least…the Symphony in the Stars Fireworks show
Looking at that list it becomes apparent I have a lot I want to get done in 3 days, wish me luck!
