Sources have reportedly told Variety that actor Diego Luna has been brought onboard as part of the cast of Gareth Edwards’ Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One in a lead role. If you recall from the Gareth Edwards panel that took place at Celebration Anaheim 2015, the official description of Rogue One is “a band of resistance fighters unite for a daring mission to steal the Death Star plans.”
Luna joins previously rumored Sam Claflin, Riz Ahmed, and Ben Mendelsohn as yet-to-be-officially-announced actors associated with this film.
Felicity Jones continues to be the only officially confirmed actor/actress set to appear in Rogue One at this time.
