Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has finally crept into the all time top 20 on the worldwide box office list, sneaking past Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides for a worldwide total of $1,047,882,968. The 19th highest grossing film Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest is now almost certainly out of reach.
On the North American domestic front Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has now amassed $527,182,968, placing it at number 7 on that particular all-time list. With 2008’s The Dark Knight on $534,858,444 it’s now unlikely that Rogue One will climb any higher, especially with the home video release only lying a handful of weeks away.
Here in the UK the film took the number one slot for the year with $80,993,534, a figure which makes it the 23rd highest grossing film on the all-time UK box office list.
