‘The Jedi’ A Witness In Welsh Assault Case…

In bizarre news of the day….

A movie-goer allegedly attacked another man outside a cinema after watching Rogue One on release night.  Whilst unpleasant, you may well class this as not particularly newsworthy or that uncommon.  That is until the accused, Joe Hudson’s defence attorney David Leathley revealed that his client would be pleading not guilty and calling one solitary witness:

Defending Hudson, he said: “My client will be calling one witness whom he knows only as ‘The Jedi’ – that name belonging to Star Wars, my lady.”

Hudson pleaded not guilty to a charge of assault by beating and assault with intent to commit robbery.  He was granted bail by judge Eleri Rees QC.
