New pieces of information pertaining to director Ron Howard’s standalone film Solo: A Star Wars Story have been hitting the interwebs ahead of the film’s theatrical release at the end of May. Yesterday we saw an article that provided the name and some details (culled from the Star Wars Legends sandbox) on the main villain of the film – Enfys Nest.
In addition to that information, we now know the name of a new planet that will be featured in Solo – Vandor. A product listing on Amazon for a children’s book titled Solo: A Star Wars Story Train Heist (via SWNN) contains the following brief synopsis:
Han Solo and Chewbacca the Wookiee must team-up for a daring train heist on the planet Vandor!
The train heist referenced in the blurb takes places aboard a new vehicle called the Conveyex which we learned about as part of Entertainment Weekly’s debut coverage of Solo. This is the first time we’ve seen the name Vandor mentioned as the planet name where this action takes place.
The reveal of the planet Vandor brings the total of new planets for Solo to (currently) four, joining previously-revealed Kessel, Corellia (these planets were confirmed earlier via a variety of Hasbro toys and LEGO sets) and Mimban (details on this swamp world with an unsettled atmosphere were provided by EW).
