Last week Dark Side Toys worked out a way to bring Jabba’s Sail Barge to Europe, but yesterday they suspended sales of the Sail Barge (after 101 successful orders), and then issued this statement on their Facebook page….
Yesterday we participated in a Goggle Hangout with the team at Hasbro and they had this to say about bringing the Barge to Europe, UK and a few other territories: –
• The Barge will only be made if it has 5,000 backers in the next 12 [now 11] days.
• Hasbro are fully committed to bring a limited quantity of the Sail Barge to the UK, Europe and some other territories if the Barge reaches 5,000 backers in the US and Canada.
• The Barge will not be available in any other way in the US and Canada.
• The version available in the UK, Europe and some other territories will be the same as the version available in the US and Canada, and will include the exclusive Yakface figure with coin.
In the meantime if you live in the US or Canada the ONLY way for you to get the Barge is to back it here at HasLab. Over the last 24 hours the total number of backers has increased by 175, and it currently sits at 3,373 — with another 1,627 to go. Based on yesterday’s number of backers and the fact there’s 11 days left, the Barge will become a reality if those sort of numbers continue — here’s hoping!
