
Bricks and Minifigs are set to open a new store in Pasadena, at The Shops on Lake Avenue inside The Colonnade Mall, on May 4th with some exclusive Star Wars pieces and a guest appearance by Ahmed Best, best known for playing Jar Jar Binks and Kelleran Beq.
Bricks & Minifigs® (BAM) Pasadena will open Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 350 S. Lake Ave, Suite 110, Pasadena, CA 91101. With over 100 locations in the US and Canada, it is the largest franchised toy store of its kind, specializing in the buying, selling, and trading of new and used LEGO® sets, bulk bricks, and minifigures (“minifigs”). The store is located at The Shops on Lake Avenue inside The Colonnade Mall and is owned and operated by Betty & Rob Poquez, local residents of Pasadena.
Promotions and giveaways will take place at the store throughout the grand opening day, such as raffles and prize drawings. In honor of the annual Star Wars Day celebration “May the Fourth,” the first 100 customers through the door will receive their choice of a free Light Side or Dark Side customized Bricks & Minifigs Pasadena signature minifigures. Actor and sci-fi icon Ahmed Best (Star Wars Episodes I-III, The Mandalorian) will make a special appearance to do a meet and greet with fans, as he celebrates the release of his LEGO set, BARC Speeder Escape 75378. The LEGO set recreates the pivotal scene from The Mandalorian (Season 3, Episode 4) where Jedi Kelleran Beq saves Grogu from Order 66. Kelleran Beq is a character Best helped create for the 2020 kids competition show Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge.

BAM will provide an event space for birthday parties or special LEGO-themed events, including after-school robotics clubs, “Make-and-Take” events, Brick Derby races, and more. The space will be available for corporate workshops, mini-retreats, and team building off-site meetings.
