While we all know now that Star Wars Celebration Anaheim will be taking place in 2015 in Anaheim California, we learn from this article posted on the Orlando Sentinel website that there were talks between Lucasfilm/ReedPOP and officials of the Orange County Convention Center to bring Celebration VII back to “O-Lando” in 2014.
Kathie Canning, executive director of the Orange County Convention Center, said center officials had hoped the show would return to Orlando on an every-other-year basis. They had conversations about using Orlando again in 2014, but show officials opted for Anaheim in 2015 instead.
I personally would not be surprised in the least if we see an Anaheim/Orlando rotation for all future US-based Celebrations, given the obvious ties those two locations have with Disney.
