David Acord, Supervising Sound Editor at Skywalker Sound and the voice behind Grogu, will be attending the third annual Rebel Scum Con at the Frisco Convention Center in Texas between August 7th and 9th, 2026.
We are pleased to announce that David Acord will be appearing at Rebel Scum Con 2026!
Star Wars fans may not realize it, but David is both a Supervising Sound Editor at Skywalker Sound and the voice behind Grogu. From his signature coos and chirps to his emotional reactions, David helped bring The Child to life, making him one of the most beloved characters in modern Star Wars. He also lent his talents to characters like FN-2199 and Rotta, adding memorable personality and depth through sound.
Beyond these iconic roles, David’s sound work can be heard across Andor, The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and Star Wars: The Bad Batch, helping define the tone, tension, and authenticity of each series. His impressive career also includes acclaimed projects such as Snowpiercer, The Walking Dead, and Lost.
