After surpassing the goal of raising £501 to donate to Make-A-Wish UK, Gary Hailes, Commanding Officer of the UK Garrison, performed his 1988 single Lonely Boy at Return of the Bash, hosted by the UK Garrison and Jedi News, live for the first time in 35 years on April 7th, 2023.
Gary took the challenge very seriously, rehearsing with Steel Bandtha who made their debut together at Return of the Bash. The Steel Bandtha’s are Claire Braund, Steve Braund, Charley Burling, Matt Lerwill, Mark Mulcaster, and Chris Tof (AKA Lee Batter in Europe).
Even though the event has now passed, you can still donate to Make-A-Wish UK by heading to JustGiving.com.
