Via this tweet sent from the official New York Comic Con account, we have new information pertaining to the health and safety update that applies to all fans attending this year’s event in person at the Javits Center. More information on this latest COVID-19 announcement including the requirement of face coverings and a reduced number of attendees can be found on the NYCC website.
Verification of Vaccination for Ages 12+
At this time, we anticipate that everyone entering the Javits Center over the age of 12 will need to be fully vaccinated with a vaccine approved or authorized by the FDA or WHO against COVID-19 in order to attend and participate at NYCC and must show proof of vaccination at their time of entry.
Details regarding full vaccination status and our verification process will be provided over the next two weeks. We expect to accept proof of vaccination of any vaccine approved or authorized by the World Health Organization or the FDA and that guests will be permitted to display proof on a smartphone or present a physical copy of their vaccination card along with a government issued ID reflecting the name on the documentation. New York State residents or anyone who received a COVID-19 vaccine in New York State may present proof through the use of the Excelsior Pass (for more details, visit: https://epass.ny.gov).

Proof of Negative COVID-19 Test for Those Under Age 12
NYCC attendees younger than 12 must be accompanied by a fully vaccinated Guardian and provide proof of at one of the following, in addition to properly wearing a face covering at all times while inside the building except while seated when eating or drinking:
– negative rapid antigen COVID-19 test taken within 6 hours of entry to each day of the event, or
– negative lab PCR COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of entry of each day of the event.
