Congratulations to Arti Shah, who played numerous roles in Disney’s Star Wars era films, and James Hameed, who together have won Best Actor at the Olivier Awards for bringing Paddington Bear to life in Paddington: The Musical. Arti is Paddington Bear, whilst James provides the voice and controls the bear’s facial movements.
Paddington: The Musical was nominated for a total of eleven Olivier Awards and won seven including Best New Musical for the book by Jessica Swale and music/lyrics by McFly’s Tom Fletcher, a huge Star Wars fan. The show is now booking through to May 31st, 2027, at the Savoy Theatre in London, and you can get tickets here.
