Arti Shah, who has played numerous roles in Disney’s Star Wars era films, has been nominated for an Olivier Award for bringing Paddington Bear to life in Paddington: The Musical, alongside James Hameed as the voice/puppeteer of the bear’s facial movements. We send our congratulations to Arti and James on their joint Best Actor in a Musical nomination.
The 2026 Olivier Awards, celebrating the 50th-anniversary of the ceremony, will take place on Sunday, April 12th, 2026, at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
Paddington: The Musical has been nominated for a total of 11 Olivier Awards including Best New Musical for the book by Jessica Swale and music/lyrics by McFly’s Tom Fletcher, a huge Star Wars fan. The show is now booking through to May 31st, 2027, at the Savoy Theatre in London, and you can get tickets here.
