Daisy Ridley is set to produce and star in Sometimes I Think About Dying, an upcoming indie drama that has already wrapped production.
Based on Kevin Armento’s play Killers, and the subsequent short film, the movie – which finished filming in Oregon recently – follows Fran, a young woman who can’t stop contemplating her own mortality. In fact, she kind of likes doing it, it brings excitement and drama to her otherwise humdrum life.
But her somewhat morbid fascination with life’s great end proves to be a bit of a problem when she notices a romantic spark between herself and a guy from work. As the pair begin to date, Fran tries her best not to stand in her own way.
Producing alongside Ridley are Alex Saks, Dori Rath, Lauren Beveridge and Brett Beveridge. Mariela Villa, Steven Weisman, Kyle Eaton are co-producing, reports Deadline.
As it stands, no other cast members have been announced. Rachel Lambert directed the flick, working with a script from Armento, Stefanie Abel Horowitz and Katy Wright-Mead.
Before she’ll be seen in Sometimes I Think About Dying, Ridley, who rose to fame playing Rey in the most recent Star Wars trilogy, will appear opposite Garrett Hedlund and Rogue One‘s Ben Mendelsohn in new psychological thriller The Marsh King’s Daughter.
