Daisy Ridley Wins Choice Movie Breakout Star at the Teen Choice Awards

Congratulations to Daisy Ridley who picked up another award last night, the Tean Choice Movie Breakout Star Award – reports the Daily Mail.

She has catapulted to stardom as the lead character in the latest installment of the epic Star Wars saga.
And Daisy Ridley solidified her status as a stand-out celebrity as she was chosen as this year’s Choice Movie Breakout Star at the Teen Choice Awards.

The 24-year-old, who was awarded the gong for her role as Ray in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, gave a shout-out to her co-star John Boyega, who was also up for the same honour, when she gave her acceptance speech at the awards show in Inglewood, California on Sunday.

‘It feels incredible to be in this category, with amazing people, especially my boy John!’, Daisy told the audience with her new surfboard in hand.

‘And after all the incredible people we just saw on stage, it feels especially important to be apart of a film that represents diversity in such a positive way.’
