Harrison Ford has revealed he faced a “tough schedule” when filming Captain America: New World Order, stating “It’s a tough schedule and, yeah, it’s fun. But it’s not a walk in the park. It’s not fun fun. It’s work.”
The acting legend will assume the role of Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film, and spoke of his experience on the set of the superhero film.
“Yeah. I mean, there are tough days and easy days and fun days and all kinds of days,” he told Esquire. “It’s a tough schedule and, yeah, it’s fun. But it’s not a walk in the park. It’s not fun fun. It’s work.”
Ross was previously played by the late William Hurt in the MCU, appearing in five films across the franchise, and Marvel chief Kevin Feige revealed that the former general will be the President in New World Order.
“With Harrison, you think about Air Force One, and you think about some of his confrontations with the president in Clear and Present Danger. There’s a dynamic between President Ross and Sam Wilson,” he said.
“They have a history together, but in this film, we’ll be seeing the dynamic between Captain America and the president of the United States in a way that is just incredible.”
There is no release date set for Captain America: New World Order, but you can see Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny in cinemas in the UK and Ireland from June 28th, 2023, and two days later in the rest of the world.
