Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny Passes $250 Million at Box Office

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny has just passed $250 million at the box office worldwide, seeing a 54.6% drop in the USA on its second weekend, down from $60 to $27 million, with a 56.8% drop in the UK over the same period.

It’s taken 12 days to reach this milestone and if it carries on dropping at this rate, it will take around 2-3 weeks to reach its next target of $300 million.

Reviews were unkind coming out of its premiere at Cannes, and we’re sure this had a negative effect on advanced bookings, coupled with the lasting reminder of 2008’s Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, has made people think twice about seeing the film.

It’s a great family adventure film and it’s a real shame it has not been marketed that way. Everyone we’ve spoken to has enjoyed Dial of Destiny and we’re off to see it for a third time this weekend.
