It’s over, folks. Director J.J. Abrams sent out the tweet embedded below a short time ago featuring an image of Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, and Oscar Isaac embracing on set (click for a larger view) to announce that principal photography for Episode IX has been completed. Filming for the currently-untitled Episode IX kicked off back on August 1.
Principal photography for the film was expected to last into February ahead of its December 2019 theatrical release.
