During an interview segment with ABC News, John Boyega, who’s character Finn will be returning with a lot more action coming his way in The Last Jedi, stated that director Rian Johnson has developed a film that will bring a very satisfying conclusion to Carrie Fisher’s Star Wars journey.
Earlier plans by Lucasfilm saw Leia having a “really significant” role in Episode IX, but her extremely unfortunate passing resulted in those plans being altered.
