During an interview with Spanish outlet Moobys, whilst promoting Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, Jon Favreau shared that the Oswald the Lucky Rabbit series was being animated by Spain’s SPA Studios and it was coming to Disney+ in 2027.
Favreau also confirmed that the art for the series is “all 2D animation by artists, human artists. It’s a beautiful story”. The Oswald the Lucky Rabbit series will feature Skeleton Crew’s Ravi Cabot-Conyers as Jake, a hardworking middle school student with a big heart, Mykal-Michelle Harris as Jen, an artistic middle schooler who is always ahead of the game, and Ryder Allen as Taylor, a middle school student who is cautious but avoids turning down his friends.
