There has been no international coverage for a new book written in Finnish entitled Roar! – My Life As a Wookiee from Joonas Suotamo and Hippo Taatila. Tähtien Jatkosota has taken to Twitter to translate some of what the book shares including the details of the filmed torture scene between Kylo Ren and Chewbacca that was cut from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
The torture scene in TROS (as seen in the Art book) was actually filmed. And was very tough for Joonas. Adam Driver was “truly sociopathic” in the role. The book sounds very interesting as we learn about how Joonas got the role, how he learnt from the legendary Peter Mayhew, the differences between the different directors, and much more.
