Keri Russell has opened up about joining Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker, and has admitted that she was reduced to tears reading the script written by  J.J. Abrams and Chris Terrio.

“When I read his script that he wrote I cried. I mean who knows what it will turn out to be and I hope it remains true to what he originally wanted,” she told the Associated Press.

However, while Russell is remaining rather cagey about how The Rise Of Skywalker will turn out, she was quick to insist that Abrams is clearly the right person to bring the Star Wars saga to an end.

“He’s not trying to change it to be something else,” she explained. “He really respects what it is.”
