Jedi News reader Arik R. sends along this link on Fandango’s website that shows their listing for The Last Jedi with a stated runtime of 2 hours 30 minutes. If this is indeed accurate, it means Episode VIII will be the longest-running Star Wars theatrical film released to date by Lucasfilm, besting 2002’s Attack of the Clones, which clocked in across movie theaters at 2 hours 22 minutes in length.
Take note that this could simply be nothing more than a runtime placeholder put up by Fandango, so don’t put too much stock into this runtime at the present moment.
However, it is interesting that this information would come to light (true or otherwise) with the film having been completely finished recently and as we are getting ready to (potentially) see the final trailer for The Last Jedi land a short time from now on October 9.
