Release Date For Indiana Jones 5 Pushed Back to July 29, 2022

In response to the growing coronavirus pandemic that continues to expand its devastating grip on all four corners of the globe, Disney has decided to alter the release dates for several of their upcoming projects with insiders saying nothing is set in stone as even more movement could come down the line. Among the projects that have received new release dates is the currently-untitled fifth Indiana Jones, which has had a rocky production history to say the very least.

Having already been delayed a few times, Indy 5 will now open on July 29, 2022, over a year later than its latest scheduled arrival date of July 9, 2021. With legendary director Steven Spielberg no longer attached to the film and now yet another release date delay, one has to wonder if this film will ever see the light of day.

The full slate of projects that have been affected can be found here.

No word yet on how/if the coronavirus pandemic is potentially affecting the planned release of the next Star Wars film slated for December 16, 2022.
