It’s long been known that Rogue One would hit cinemas in much of mainland Europe on 14th December, the UK on the 15th – before hitting US shores on the 16th. A pattern common due to cultural differences on release days.
But I believe that this is the first time an official Disney source has mentioned that date specifically in reference to the UK.
Update: James has just confirmed that at the end of the Rogue One trailer (shown in 3D Imax last night at the press screening of Doctor Strange) that the date of December 15th was also shown.
