‘Rogue One’ Takes 2016 Number One Spot

In just 29 days Rogue One has surpassed the $486,295,561 total of Finding Dory to take the number one spot for 2016 in North America with $488,335,734 in the bank. Worldwide the film has lifted up to a total of $925,435,734 for 40th place in the all-time list just a million behind The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and less than $75 million off the billion dollar club. Worldwide The Jungle Book (2016) ($966.6), Zootopia ($1,023.8), Finding Dory ($1,027.9) and Captain America: Civil War ($1,153.3) all lie ahead.

Bear in mind, the international figures lag behind the much more up-to-date North American figures, so by Monday there is likely to be a significant jump as the film is estimated to bring in $14.1 million this weekend in the States, plus the international gate and the weeks tally for China.
