Alongside the studio-scale X-Wings in the original Star Wars model shop were Y-Wings and TIE Fighters, and model makers have been just as meticulous in their recreation of those models. We chat with Jonathan Faber and Kevin Hoppert about their replicas of those ships, including the toughest parts to source when building the models in exactly the same way as the original ILM model team–with no 3D printing!
