As you know, the big news that came out of yesterday was details on the Rogue One home media release and when fans can start to enjoy Gareth Edwards’ masterpiece in the comfort of their own home. Unlike the initial home release for The Force Awakens, fans will be able to get their hands on a 3D release of Rogue One right from the jump if they elect to go with either the Target exclusive or Best Buy exclusive Blu-ray packaging.
Which raises the following questions: Is Disney planning on releasing a 4K UHD version of Rogue One sometime later this year? And will that version contain exclusive bonus content?
We already know a 4K version of the film exists in all its enhanced HD glory. Could we be treated to this Rogue One release down the road as the 2017 holiday season approaches?
