We open first doors of the LEGO City, LEGO Disney, LEGO Friends, LEGO Harry Potter and LEGO Marvel Advent Calendars.
LEGO have been releasing Advent Calendars for two decades now, celebrating twenty years for LEGO City, thirteen years for LEGO Friends, six years for LEGO Harry Potter, four years for LEGO Marvel, and the very first year for LEGO Disney.
Let’s take a look behind the first door of each to see what they bring (click on the images for a closer look)…
LEGO City (#60436)
Tying in with the seasonal snowy theme of the box, we get our first minifigure behind today’s door. The minifigure features small legs, a festive jumper, a yellow snowboard and navy helmet with detachable googles. A perfect start!
LEGO Disney (#43253)
As if they knew Moana 2 would be arriving in cinemas this weekend, we get a microdoll of the titular character complete with a present topped with green bow. Her dress also features a festive red bow. A great start to the first ever LEGO Disney Advent Calendar.
LEGO Friends (#42637)
Behind the first door of the LEGO Friends Calendar we get a microdoll of Paisley as a preschooler, instantly recognisable with her red hair, complete with a lilac wooly hat and her cuddly bunny rabbit named Melody. Paisley’s dress also features a festive bow.
LEGO Harry Potter (#76438)
This year’s LEGO Harry Potter Advent Calendar is themed around Hogwarts Castle’s The Great Hall and can be added to the set of the same name, released earlier this year (set #76435). The first day brings us an exclusive version of the titular character wearing his Hogwarts school uniform with short legs, indicating this is from the earlier books. He also comes with a printed Gryffindor shield on some sort of stand.
LEGO Marvel – Spider-Man Themed (#76293)
This year’s LEGO Marvel Advent Calendar has been themed as Spider-Man, so it’s no surprise that behind the first door is a minifigure of the character himself, complete with a three-piece web and pizza box. The web does feel rather lacking, indicating there’s likely more to come.
