The Official Star Wars Fact File blasts us into hyperspace with another star-spanning journey through the characters and locales of the Star Wars galaxy as we look at a wookiee conflict, an evil droid, a noble Duchess, the actions of a dark lord, an iconic docking bay, some tough lava dwellers, some Utapaun weapons and a Republic starfighter. Let’s step inside.

Battles and Events takes us to the Wookiee homeworld of Kashyyk as we look at the Battle of Kashyyyk, as seen in Revenge of the Sith and learn how important the planet was to both sides of the conflict. Droids and Machines looks at EV-A4-D, the droid assigned with the task of maintaining General Grievous at his castle keep, a relationship built on bickering with the droid being as close to a friend as Grievous had. Humans and Aliens focuses on the tragic Duchess Satine Kryze and her ruling of Mandalore, from her friendship with Obi-Wan to her demise at the hands of Pre Visla. Darth Vaders hunt for Luke Skywalker and the Millennium Falcon is detailed, as is his power struggle with the Emperor and Prince Xizor.

Planets and Locations looks at Docking Bay 327, the Death Star docking bay where the Falcon was tractor-beamed in and where Ben Kenobi met his fate. The lava planet of Mustafar and its variety of species is looked at, while Weapons and Technology investigates the weapons of the Utapau and their ornate design. Starships and Vehicles takes a peek at the V-19 Torrent starfighter, a Republic mainstay of The Clone Wars and its unique configuration.
As always a wide swathe of subjects are covered as the Fact Files heads towards it’s second folder and the month of May. And with the announcement of the first standalone film coming in December 2016, we have to wonder will that be covered in this run of the partworks? Only one way to find out – buy the magazine, support it and make it impossible for the publishers to ignore.
