Jedi News Review: The Official Star Wars Fact File Issue 4

The saviour of the galaxy poses on the cover of the fourth issue of The Official Factfiles. Let’s take a closer look.

This month it’s a family affair as we focus on Luke Skywalker, his mother Padme Amidala, his father Anakin’s starfighter and the planet that links them all, Tatooine.

As usual the articles are broken down into regular sections. Battle and Events brings us a look at the creation of the Clone Army from Attack of the Clones, Droids and Machines focuses on the T-series Tactical Droid used by the CIS in The Clone Wars. Humans and Aliens looks at our Queen Padme Amidala and her son and cover boy Luke Skywalker, Planets and Locations shines a twin light on the desert planet of Tatooine, Weapons and Technology looks at Chewie’s bowcaster and Starships and Vehicles looks at the CK-6 Freeco swoop from The Clone Wars and the ETA-2 Actis Interceptor used by Anakin Skywalker in Revenge of the Sith, which receives the double-page tech spec treatment.

The entries for Padme and Luke take each through the events of their respective first appearances, Padme in The Phantom Menace and Luke in A New Hope (and yes, we know he first appeared in Revenge of the Sith), so already we know we’ll be revisiting the characters for their further adventures with Padme’s The Clone Wars adventures also being focused on.

Chewie’s bowcaster is given the full treatment with a detailed look at the inner workings, and once again The Clone Wars gets some detailed investigation as the CK-6 Freeco swoop is looked at, showing it’s various appearances throughout the series. One question I would like to know is if the 13 episodes of the sixth season, The Lost Missions, get the Fact Files treatment or if this was put to bed before they were completed. Answers on a postcard please, and fingers crossed that Star Wars Rebels sneaks in there too.
