Along with a number of other essential dates in the month of May the 14th is probably the most important as it heralded the birth of the creator of the Star Wars universe George Walton Lucas.
Born in Modesto, California the young Lucas was a dreamer. Thankfully, unlike so many other stargazers he set about making his dreams a reality, and 67 years on we all benefit from his visions.
