During his brief interview segment with Andi Gutierrez at last night’s red carpet world premiere for The Rise of Skywalker, Dave Filoni touched on having the opportunity to work with the stellar cast of The Clone Wars animated series one last time with the upcoming release of Season 7. Filoni said he was happy to be able to wrap up the series on his terms and expects the finishing touches to be placed on the season coming to the Disney+ streaming service within the next few days.
Season 7 of The Clone Wars was officially announced last year during the special 10-year anniversary panel for the series at San Diego Comic-Con. The final season, which will be comprised of 12 all-new episodes, also had a dedicated panel at Star Wars Celebration Chicago back in April and while a specific premiere date has not yet been announced, we do know that Season 7 will be arriving exclusively on Disney+ sometime in February 2020.
