The first guest for Echo Base Live XVII: Galaxy of Creatures, taking place at the Kingfisher Shopping Centre in Redditch on October 11th, 2025, is Andy Secombe, best known for voicing Watto in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace and Star Wars: Attack of the Clones.
Andy is an award-nominated stage, screen and radio actor. He is best known for providing the voice of Watto in the Star Wars prequels and video games, and of Quello in the game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords.
Away from Star Wars, Andy has appeared on many television shows including Playschool, The Brian Connelly Show, Killing Eve, Casualty, The Bill, Legend of Robin Hood, and many more. He’s also appeared in many theatrical performances including Guys and Dolls, Around the World in Eighty Days, A Midsummer Nights Dream, The Invisible Man, and The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.
Andy’s father was the famous comedian Sir Harry Secombe!
