Droid puppeteer Brian Herring, best known for being the lead puppeteer on BB-8, is the ninth guest announced for Look sir, droids! Echo Base Live, Europe’s premiere Star Wars collectors event, taking place in Redditch on October 10th, 2026.
Brian joins previously announced guests including droid builder/performer Matt Denton, droid performer Raymond Griffiths, droid performer Nathan Plant, droid performer Mike Quinn, droid operator Lynn Robertson Bruce, droid performer Kiran Shah, actress, creature & suit performer Stephanie Silva and droid builder and operator Lee Towersey.
Best known as the lead puppeteer for BB-8, Brian also performed Mouse droids, medical and torture droids and SE-2 in Rogue One.
Brian has also performed dozens of creatures throughout the new Star Wars movies and TV shows including the Porgs, Fathiers, Caretakers, Mon Calamari, Oki Pokis, Correllian hounds, Proxima as well as appearing in various creature suits and a Resistance officer in The Last Jedi.
Away from Star Wars his work includes Hellboy 2, Prometheus, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Muppets Treasure Island and Project Hail Mary.
