Droid performer Mike Quinn, best known for operating and performing resistance pilot Nien Nunb, is the seventh guest announced for Look sir, droids! Echo Base Live, Europe’s premiere Star Wars collectors event, taking place in Redditch on October 10th, 2026.
Mike joins previously announced guests including droid builder/performer Matt Denton, droid performer Raymond Griffiths, droid performer Nathan Plant, droid operator Lynn Robertson Bruce, actress, creature & suit performer Stephanie Silva and droid builder and operator Lee Towersey.
Mike served as a creature and droid puppeteer for several movies. He performed the wall-mounted droid TT-8L-OT in the Acolyte TV series.
Star Wars Roles
• TT-8L-OT: Puppeteered the wall socket droid in Andor, controlling its doorway/wall entry, exit, and close-up head movements.
• General Droid/Creature Work: Credited as a formal creature and droid puppeteer across the sequel trilogy era, including The Rise of Skywalker. Also an Animator on the Clone Wars series.
• Notable Non-Droid Roles: Best known globally for operating and performing the alien resistance pilot Nien Nunb in Return of the Jedi and the sequel trilogy, alongside assisting with Yoda, Sy Snootles, and Jabba the Hutt’s electronic eyes.
Away from Star Wars, he started working with Jim Henson as a teenager on projects like The Great Muppet Caper and The Dark Crystal. He performed in many classic Henson productions, including Labyrinth, Fraggle Rock, and The Muppet Christmas Carol.
