Paul Springer, best known for playing Ree-Yees in Return of the Jedi, is the eighth guest announced as attending Echo Base Live: Unmasked, Europe’s premiere Star Wars collectors event, on March 7th, 2026, at the Kingfisher Shopping Centre, Redditch.
Paul was a mime artist/puppeteer on Return of the Jedi, he wore the Ree-Yees costume in Jabbas Palace. He also appeared as a Gamorrean Guard (the one that grabs Han) and as a Mon Calamari Officer.
Away from Star Wars, Paul worked as a mime coach on Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and as principal plant performer on Little Shop of Horrors.
Paul will be join us all day, signing autographs and answering your questions.
