A few days ago we saw images and product details for the exclusive Best Buy and Target editions of The Last Jedi Blu-ray release. Among the most highly anticipated bonus content that will be included in the film’s home media release (rumored for March 27) is director Rian Johnson’s commentary track. Will his commentary track be part of the initial release of Episode VIII on Blu-ray or will Disney/Lucasfilm hold this specific piece of bonus content back for a later BD release like they did for J.J. Abrams’ The Force Awakens commentary?
Blu-ray.com currently has a product listing on their site for a The Last Jedi Ultimate Collector’s Edition Blu-ray. As you can see from the image of the cover provided below, the artwork used is different from the Best Buy and Target release covers with Rey featured at the top. They also have a product listing for a Multi-Screen Edition which basically allows you to experience the film on any type of media device you choose.
How will this Ultimate Collector’s Edition differ from the other Episode VIII Blu-ray releases? Will it contain exclusive bonus content such as Johnson’s commentary track?
